L0 - Introduction to ISS

Dear students,

This is lesson 0, where your teachers will go through with you some following important information.

The Teaching Blog at
http://sst2019-iss.blogspot.sg
is where you have a one-stop link to all the information about ISS.

The Google site at
https://sites.google.com/a/s2018.ssts.edu.sg/iss/
where you will see:
(a) Assessment Rubrics (Please note that there will be minor changes to the rubrics before the deadline of your submission of your written and multimedia reports)
(b) Templates for various tasks
(c) Sample Blogs, Posters and video presentations (to be updated later)

The Gantt chart is attached below:

This is the progression of your ISS programme. However, as there are holidays in-between, some of the lessons may be affected. However, I would expect you to complete all the key 16 stages of the Investigative Skills in Science programme.

If you spend time outside of the official hours, it can still be counted within the ISS programme and log in as a lesson within your log book.

The deployment of classes to various teachers are also shown below: (updated 7 Jan 2019)

The allocation of the laboratories will be given by Ms. Su Yahui, the Laboratory Manager.
She will announce the lab deployment by the end of week 3 so that you can start your laboratory experiments from Week 4 to 6.

There are a few deadlines that you must be aware of:
(a) Group Research proposal draft: T1W3 day 1 (feedback will be provided)
(b) Group Research proposal final: T1W3 day 4 (20%)
You will NOT continue with your experimentation unless your teacher gives the approval.
